The PainCare© contains all of the protocols, and only the 59 protocols, specified in the Frequency Specific Microcurrent in Pain Management textbook. The protocol sequences have both polarized and alternating DC current formats. The PainCare© has a partial manual mode that allows the user to hold on a specific frequency combination, skip to the next frequency in the sequence and go back to the last frequency that was used. The PainCare© has no capacity to create new or unique protocols. PainCare© protocols deliver only the protocols for the specific pain conditions described in the FSM textbook.
This device uses a 9v battery. With average daily use the battery lasts approximately one month. Battery life will vary depending on quality and age of the battery, how it has been stored and how many hours it has been used. Use of rechargeable batteries is not recommended. The unit displays battery level indicator and will notify user when the battery is too low to operate the device.
The frequencies being delivered, the polarity, the time elapsed and remaining, and the current level are all shown on the LED screen. This feature is essential on any unit being used for delivering frequency specific treatments. In the event of a beneficial effect or any reaction, the practitioner needs to know what frequency was running when that effect occurred.
The protocols are sequences of frequencies delivered in a specific order for specific periods of time. They are delivered by the device and identified by initials on the LCD screen. The initials on the summary sheets and on the screen stand for sequences of frequencies to be run in a certain order and for specific periods of time, for which the manufacturer and distributor make no claims. FDA requirements mandate this system.
